My mouse started clicking randomly yesterday, i assumed it was just my mouse dying so i restarted my computer and it seemed to be working. But today, during the episode of random clicking, i clicked onto a google search box where the words 'there's a still from the footage, but im afraid thats all we got' were typed out, so im just gonna assume this 'random clicking' is a bit more than just my. Open the Control Panel, then double click on the 'Mouse' icon to open the 'Mouse' properties window. Once there, click on the 'Pointer Options' tab, then UNCHECK the 'Enhance pointer precision' box. Mdhilliard, Go into your Control PanelSounds and Audio Devices, under the 'Sounds' tab scroll down to Windows Explorer 'Start Navigation' and use the drop down arrow button and choose NONE.
This page contains a script for testing the events fired indifferent browsers when a mouse click occurs. Click on the'click here to test' link to see the events fired by the click. This script will capture and log the following event types:
- mousedown - the mouse button goes down.
- mouseup - the mouse button goes up.
- click - a logical mouse click.
- dblclick - a logical mouse double click has occured.
- contextmenu - a context menu has been triggered.
Different browsers generate different events in different orders. For each event, the script will give the values of the event.whichand event.button variables, which indicate which mouse buttonwas clicked. Unreal tournament original.
Try left clicks, right clicks, and middle clicks.Try double clicks.
Every attempt has been made to disable the default actions of mouse clickswhen clicking on the test link. However, in some browsers, the defaults cannot be disabled, so variousstrange side effects may occur.
In a correctly working browser, only clicks on the link should be logged inthe window, and default actions should still occur if the same mouse buttonsare clicked on other parts of the screen. Not all browsers work correctly.
This page sets up event handlers with the old Level 0 DOM.There are also versions of this page that use thestandardLevel 2 addEventListener function.or with theIE attachEvent function.
See http://unixpapa.com/js/mouse.htmlfor a summary of results of tests of mouse events on different browsers.
