I have had a look at SkethUp a couple of times and it does look like it is something that would allow a non-architect to get going fast with drawings - but I can't bear the thought have to run Windows in a VM to do it . .

and be able to share the drawings with non-IT/tech people fairly easily to use on their Windows or Mac environments (I use Fedora Linux) to update and modify etc. Ideally I would also like to use Blender (although that seems like it has a steep learning curve) to produce 3D walk through options for the houses and the village itself.
Are people considering making a Web-based version of FreeCAD? - is that even possible? - that would be the perfect situation for me . .
